Assisted mode
Assisted mode is the third narrator setting, beside AI and human. The Dungeon Master seat is yours; the AI is a helper you hand specific jobs to, and it never takes a job you did not hand it.
Turning it on
Choose assisted in the campaign creator's narrator step, or later in the Setup tab. Three capabilities are listed, all on by default: monsters, narration and cover. Each is still asked for at the moment of use; the settings only decide what is offered. Outside assisted mode all three are ignored, so a plain human-DM table cannot accidentally wake the AI.
The monsters' turns
In a fight, when the order reaches the monsters, the monster cards and the initiative panel offer Play the rest for me: the AI plays the enemies who are due. It chooses actions from the stat block, targets by its own tactics, and calls the same engine handlers you would. You watch the intent cards, and you can take a monster back at any point.
Read-aloud
Write a beat in the narrate bar and press read aloud: the narration voice performs it in full, in the campaign's voice, or as an NPC if you chose one. Nothing is generated; it is your text, spoken.
Cover
Stepping away? Set a count and the AI answers the next N player actions as the Dungeon Master, within the arc and the lore you have written, and stops when the count is up. The chronicle marks those passages as assisted. You can end cover early from the console.
Where the AI comes from
Assisted mode uses the same text backend the campaign would use as an AI table: the device's Story AI on an app-hosted world, or the server's default and the campaign's own fields on a self-hosted server. With no backend configured, the three options are shown disabled with the reason.
Going the other way
An AI table can seat a human later with make DM, and a human table can be handed back to the AI by removing the DM seat and switching the narrator setting. The chronicle and the sheets carry across either way.
